Skitch Tease

An intimately revealing comic cabaret with the acclaimed Liz Skitch
“It’s like she’s working magic on the audience.” - The Pun, Melbourne Comedy Festival
Wearing nothing but heels, fishnets and a strategically placed accordion, no one is safe in this tell-all tale of Liz’s extraordinary life. With “sugar-coated viciousness” (DB Magazine) she tackles ex-boyfriends, her mum, empty headed teenage girls, banal tourists, babies and baboons.
Dripping with double entendre Skitch Tease has a rollicking old vaudeville feel; it’s naughty but nice - Marilyn Monroe meets Judith Lucy with a pinch of Jerry Lewis.
Skitch Tease is a fast-paced accordion accompanied blend of songs, stories and sensational punch lines.
Written and performed by Liz Skitch
“Flirty fun which squeezes your funny bone in all the right places.”
- Edinburgh Spotlight
“Hilarious songs, involving comedy and a cabaret turn to die for, make Liz Skitch’s hour pass in a flash. Her burlesque-style routine is the big selling point, but she has depth in both delivery and material.” - The Stage, Edinburgh
“Laced with punchy one-liners and witty stories and songs that target anything and everything.” - The Advertiser
“Guilt laden laughter remains with you well after the show, the dark pall of her cheeky accordion ringing in your ears.”
- DB Magazine
“Skitch’s delivery is immaculately timed.” - The Pun, Melbourne
“Skitch is natural storyteller. She’s confident, zany and really sweet, and even when she’s being meowww catty you still want to take her home and introduce her to your mum.” - AussieTheatre.com
“You will laugh, sing, cheer and applaud, and then you will sing her praises.” - Glam Adelaide
Liz Skitch has been entertaining audiences with her unique helium injected gags, thoughts and songs for the past ten years and has performed around Australia in festivals, cabarets and comedy clubs. Trained in clown with Philippe Gaulier, Liz has performed and written for Queensland Theatre Company, toured with Bell Shakespeare, and is one half of The Gooney Girls comedy duo (Triple J Raw Comedy Finalists).
“One of Queensland’s brightest, most energetic and most colourful stage performers; a clown, a comic; a box of sparklers set alight and tossed into the night sky. Whiz. Bang. Boom.” - The Courier Mail
